The Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA) organized a book release function at St Thomas Church, Cansaulim, where the book Matiechea Aidonant Bhanddar, authored by Fr Ave Maria Afonso, was officially unveiled in the presence of literary enthusiasts, Konkani writers, and parishioners. The dignitaries on the dais included the Chief Guest, John D’sa, noted writer and PPC Moderator; Fr. Ave Maria Afonso, author of the book; Adv Peter John Afonso, Fr. Myron Jeson Barreto, President of Dalgado Konknni Akademi; and Agnelo Borim, Secretary of DKA. Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest John D’sa lauded the literary contributions of Fr Ave Maria Afonso and congratulated Dalgado Konknni Akademi for its dedicated efforts in promoting Roman Konkani and preserving the language and cultural heritage of Goa. He highlighted Fr Ave’s continuous commitment towards enriching Roman Konkani literature and his efforts in guiding parishioners to deepen their faith and Christian values.
