Goa's tourism got overwhelming response from the stakeholders at the ongoing India Travel Mart, in Amritsar. Besides Goa, Rajasthan, Kerala and Gujarat are the participating States in the event.
Goa's tourism desk received several enquiries on the inaugural day from tours and travel agents as well as high class tourists too. Goa has focused on hinterland and eco tourism vis a vis cultural tourism and e-biking tracks, developing home stay culture and lot more.
The travel mart was inaugurated at the hands of Mayor of Amritsar, Karamjit Singh Rintu. The mayor visited Goa Tourism pavilion where dy director, Tourism Department, Dhiraj Vagle, Gajanan Mahale, assistant director of Tourism Department and Harish Satelkar, marketing manager, GTDC, received him with bouquet of flowers. He was presented with a tote bag.
