Anagha Deshpande

Noted Goan theatre artist Anagha Deshpande, assistant professor for performing arts at Nirmala Institute of Education Panaji, has received the Usha Ganguli Memorial Award for excellence in theatre and performing arts. The award is conferred by Santoshpur Anuchintan, a youth centric theatre institute from Kolkata. This award is for Deshpande’s contribution towards classical and contemporary theatre, and will be presented on May 6 at the inauguration of Hriday Manch, a three-day long National Theatre Festival to be held at Tapan Theatre in Kolkata from May 6 to 8.
