Inaugural GST study course held by GCCI

PANAJI: The Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), in collaboration with the Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society (BCAS), successfully concluded its inaugural four-day Comprehensive Study Course in Goods and Services Tax (GST) on Saturday, 24th February 2024, at Surendrababu Timblo Convention Hall, Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Panaji-Goa.

President of GCCI, Shrinivas Dempo, commended the initiative, highlighting GST’s role in unifying India. CA Rohan Bhandare, Chairman of GCCI Taxation and Financial Services Committee, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response and anticipated that the knowledge sessions would aid participants in fulfilling GST obligations.

CA Yatish Pai Vernekar, Co-Chair of GCCI Taxation Committee and Course Coordinator, thanked BCAS for their partnership. The final day featured talks by CA Naresh Seth, CA Jayesh Gogri, and CA Parimal Kulkarni on critical GST issues. The valedictory function included the distribution of participation certificates, with Kiran Ballikar as the emcee and Sanjay Amonkar delivering the vote of thanks.
