PANAJIThe 8th International Yoga Day programme was organised by Indian Bank on Tuesday at Hotel Silvio Heights, Panjim in the presence of PV Prasad, Zonal Manager, Pune as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. All the staff members and customers of Indian Bank branches located in Goa participated in the Yoga session under the guidance of Yogacharya. Indian Bank, which is the 7th largest public sector bank in the country and has been an integral part of the Indian economy for the last 114 years, has been organising such events in the past to raise awareness among people. During the programme, Zonal Manager PV Prasad talked about the theme of International Yoga Day “Yoga for Humanity”. He explained that Yoga is helping people to ward off the COVID-19 pandemic by empowering a strong immune system, and regular practice of Yoga is essential for the protection of health and sustainable physical development.
