PANAJI: The JMJ Hospital Porvorim conducted a free medical camp at the Holy Family Church Hall on Sunday, for the benefit of residents in Porvorim and the surrounding areas.
People turned out in large numbers to avail of the facilities at the medical camp and the JMJ hospital plans a similar camp in the near future to benefit people in other areas as well.
The doctors who conducted the camp with the assistance of the sisters of JMJ Hospital and the nurses were Dr Amol Tilve (Gynaecologist and Obstetrician), Dr Rylind Pereira (Pulmonologist), Dr Sushant Mummigatti (Orthopaedician), Dr Joycelin Fernandes (Dermatologist), Dr Simone Lobo (Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retinal Specialist), Dr Suman K Saha (Radiologist), Dr Pradeep Joseph Ninan (General and Paediatric Surgeon) and Dr Trupthi Swar (Prosthodontist and Implantologist).
Besides, free blood sugar, blood group and blood pressure were checked, while a 20% discount was given on ultrasonography and X-Ray.
