Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai laid the wreath and paid tributes at the samadhi of 2nd Lt Governor of Union Territory of Goa, Daman & Diu, the late Shri Mulk Raj Sachdev on his 60th Death Anniversary behind Miramar Residency at Miramar on Saturday. Present on this occassion were Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, Secretary to Governor, MRM. Rao, IAS, Sanjeev V Sardesai, noted historian, Mihir Vardhan and others.In the formal eulogy address, Governor Pillai appealed to promote historical field in Goa reiterating the work of Ram Manohar Lohia in the liberation of Goa. Governor said students need to study the history and bring the truth before the public. After laying the wreath, Sanjeev V Sardesai highlighted the life and work of late Mulk Raj Sachdev and said that the late Lt Governor , was the only first citizen of state, who died in office on Dec 8, 1964.
