Raia Sporting Club got the better of Margao SC 7-6 via a tiebreaker, securing their spot in the semifinals of the 1st Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy 2025, organised by Batora United Club in association with Margao Sports Club, at the DSYA Ground in Curtorim on Friday.
Raia Sporting Club took the early lead with a goal from Garrison Fernandes in the 10th minute. Margao SC responded with a near miss from Cliff Barretto but eventually leveled the score in the 34th minute when Serenio Fernandes found the back of the net.
The second half saw Raia Sporting Club regain the lead through Silviano Oliveira, who scored in the 48th minute. However, Margao SC quickly equalized when Roque Borges netted the second goal for his team, making it 2-2.
The match was decided by a tense tiebreaker, where Raia Sporting Club proved to be the better shooters, edging out Margao SC 7-6 to secure the win.
The guests of honor for the match were Alex Dias, Andrew Barretto, Prashant Damskar, Francis Fernandes, and Vincent Fernandes. They presented the Man of the Match award to Jack Medeira of Raia Sporting Club for his standout performance.
