The General Body Meeting of the PTA of St Theresa’s Higher Secondary School, Candolim held on July 9 witnessed over 300 parents and guardians . The meeting began with the lighting of the traditional lamp led by the Guest speaker Dr Roshan Nazareth, Medical Officer at Primary Health Centre Candolim in the presence of the Manager Fr Jhonsie Colaco, Principal Rita Leena D’Silva and PTA executive members. Disha Pednekar introduced the guest speaker for the day, Dr Nazareth who spoke on the topic “Health, Hygiene and Nutrition”. He highlighted the importance of eating healthy and nutritious balanced diet to keep the body fit and strong. Principal Rita D’Silva congratulated the students and parents for the outstanding results at the GBSHSE 2022. She briefed parents about the exam schedule and gave an overview of the curricular activities for the year 2022-2023. Parents were briefed on the rules of the school and she sought the co-operation and collaboration from the parents during this academic year. The minutes of the previous General Body Meeting were read by Alisha Fernandes and Deodita Furtado presented the accounts. The outgoing executive members were thanked and felicitated for their selfless services rendered and the new executive committee members were introduced to the gathering. Sharry Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.The programme was compered by Jose Pereira.
