Gajanan Bandekar of Poinguinim bagged the 1st prize of Matoli decoration contest in Canacona constituency.While Gajanan Bandekar will be awarded Rs10,000, Shirish Pai of Mokhard and Padkar family of Indrawada Gaondongrim have bagged cash awards of Rs 7000 and Rs 5000 after being adjudged as Second and Third prize winners respectively.Vishant Bandekar of Agonda, and Maruti Devidas of Shrishthal have been awarded Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 as 4th and 5th prizes respectively.Awards of Rs 1000 each were also given for the Matoli decoration of Guru Bandekar (Agonda), Ramkrishna Naik (Chaudi), Satish Gosavi (Shrishthal), Prassann Sangelkar (Rajbhag) and Ashok Desai (Cotigao). The prizes will be given away at an specially organised function shortly.
