Prashant Gunu Devidas, a staff nurse at the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Canacona has been nominated for the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award 2020.
President Ramnath Kovind will present the award to Devidas through a virtual ceremony.
In a communique addressed to the Principal Secretary (Health), Porvorim, the Indian Nursing Council (INC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, informed the nomination of Prashant Devidas for the National Florence Nightingale Award 2020.
Devidas is presently the president of All Goa Government Employees Association and is actively involved in various social works at his home village Khola and in Canacona Taluka.
