The District Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA), South Goa has conducted a training programme on animal laws at the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex, Collectorate South Goa. The session was led by Meet Ashar, who serves as a Cruelty Response Legal Advisor and Associate Director at PETA India, and is also a lawyer and Animal Rights advocate. The aim of this programme was to educate participants about animal laws and prevention of cruelty and to promote the better protection and welfare of animals in Goa. In his address, Meet Ashar shared insights on legal frameworks protecting animals and responding to cruelty cases. The session has covered aspects of animal welfare, legal provisions, and best practices for addressing animal.
