In an All-India Konkani Poetry competition organised by Arth Prakashan, Anjali Kini, a poetess from Kerala bagged the first prize for her poem 'Choi re savanya'. The second prize went to Gaurang Bhandiye's poem 'Ek vasin swatantrayeche' and the third prize was pocketed by Vishal Khandeparkar from Goa for his poem, 'Devcharan gaon sodala'. The first consolation prize was bagged by Laxmi Kalangutkar from Goa for her poem, 'Kalij mhaje radle', second consolation prize too was bagged by Goa's Nita Kuttikar's for 'Pavsachya disanni'. Ajay Kothavale from Goa and Balakrishna Mallya from Kerala, received the representative prize for best poem. The prize distribution ceremony will be held at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on August 20 at 4 pm. This programme will be jointly held by Shree Mallikarjun and Chetan Manju Desai College along with Ravindra Bhavan Margao.
