The Partagal Shrimad Vidhyadhish Teertha Swami Maharaj presents awards at a special ceremony in the Partagali Math.

The Partagal Shrimad Vidhyadhish Teertha Swami Maharaj has stated that a “Puraskar” denotes that a recipient should continue with the noble work with even more vigour than what one has been doing at present. He was speaking at the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math Puraskar presented to distinguished personalities of the Saraswat community at a special ceremony in the Partgali Math on Thursday.
Shrimad Vidyadhish Teertha Swami Maharaj said society recognises those people who donate a share of their income to charity, while also helping the needy, and serving the Guru Matha. This year, the 44th Vidyadhiraj Award was awarded to Dr M Jagannath Shenoy of Mysore, while the Shree Jeevottam Award was presented to Adv Prakash Prabhudesai and Mahesh Sunder Nayak. The Sri Purushottam Award was awarded to Vedamurthy Anant Purushottam Bhat, Varadaraj Bhat from Kumta and Balkrishna Laxminarayan Bhat of Kundapur. Shree Sansthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Math Committee President Shrinivas Dempo, Vice President RR Kamat and Shivanand Salgaonkar were also present at the awards ceremony. Dempo said the Partagal Math will be celebrating its 550th year in 2025 and preparations are already afoot to commemorate the event. A large number of followers from Goa, Karnataka and Mumbai attended the ceremony.
