Margao: In an eagerly awaited announcement, the Goa Saraswat Samaj reveals the dates for the upcoming Saraswat Food and Cultural Festival, scheduled from February 2-4 at the BPS Sports Club Grounds in Margao. This festival promises a unique platform for residents to immerse themselves in the vibrant tradition of Saraswat cuisine while showcasing the diverse cultural talents within the community.
Highlighting the festival’s significance, a special ceremony is slated for Sunday, February 4th, 2024, starting at 10:00 am. The event aims to honour and applaud the academic excellence of high-achieving students from the Saraswat community for the academic year concluding in 2023.
The felicitation criteria include: Obtaining 90% and above in the 10th Grade, 85% and above in the 12th Grade, achieving a minimum of 70% in Graduation/Diploma and Post Graduate studies, and securing 60% and above for Professionals. There is no specific percentage requirement for individuals holding qualifications such as IIT/Ph.D. in any stream, CA, CS, etc.
