A visual arts programme ‘Pencil to Portfolio’ for children (age 13-18) is being held at Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts on every Saturday from 3-6 pm. The programme is for those interested in pursuing higher education in art, design, architecture, fashion, or animation and also those keen on developing creative skills. The 24-session curriculum developed by senior artist Rajendra Usapkar and supported by a team of dedicated and accomplished artists is focused on illustrating individual talent and strengthening the artistic practice of the students. Lead facilitator Rajendra Usapkar along with guest artists Leticia Alvares, Vijay Bhandare, Swapnesh Vaigankar and Siddharth Gosavi will offer personalised training and guidance to students to express their talent, sharpen their observation skills, encourage material exploration, develop critical thinking and build a cohesive portfolio. Those applying to professional colleges will receive assistance with portfolio reviews and guidance from the teaching faculty. This programme has been developed as part of Creative Cloud: Connecting Art to Life, an innovation lab designed to activate the unlimited potential & resource of the human imagination through live, interactive and animated sessions.
