Dr Rajesh Suresh Prabhu Gaonkar, professor in Mechanical Engineering at Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi was honoured with Frederick Taylor Award by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering during the 67th National Convention and 9th International Conference held at Thiruvananthapuram. FW Taylor is widely regarded as the father of scientific management. This award was presented to Dr Rajesh in recognition of his significant contributions in the field of industrial engineering and his outstanding, unique and pioneering accomplishments in the management of industrial engineering activities. In addition, his authorship of articles, books and other publications describing practical applications along-with notable voluntary contributions on behalf of IIIE are highly commendable.
