The 2nd edition of Heritage Walks Festival will be flagged off by the director of Tourism Pravimal Abhishek, IAS in the presence of Ralph de Sousa on April 1 in Panaji at Ponte de Linhares Causeway in front of Divja circle at 8 am. The first edition of Heritage Walks Festival was held last year in March with an idea to help locals reconnect to their history and heritage and to create in the citizens a sense of ownership and pride in their inheritance. This year’s inaugural walk will start at 8 am on the route Khajans and salt pans of Panaji. This is a first of its kind event in Goa the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and the Goa Heritage Action Group (GHAG) initiated last year under the aegis of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) - ‘The City Walks Festival – Be your City’s Ambassador’.
