PANAJI: Joe Cookies scored a hard-fought solitary goal win to knock out Verna Veterans in the All-Goa Veterans football tournament, organised by Mix Friends at Santa Cruz ground on Friday. The winners had to rely on an own goal in the 30th minute to stay alive in the competition.
Joe Cookies will now face Vasco Veterans in the quarterfinals.
