The Lions Club of Mapusa ushered in a new leadership term with the installation of its 61st President, Shreya Naik, at a ceremony held at Dev Bodgeshwar Sansthan Hall, Mapusa. The event also saw the induction of the Board of Directors for 2025–26, officiated by Sameer Surlakar. District Governor Elect Jai Amol Naik graced the occasion as Chief Guest, alongside dignitaries including Region Chairperson Rohan Savaikar and Zone Chairperson Silviya Fernandes. Outgoing President Shreedhar Naik thanked members for their support during the club’s Diamond Jubilee year. In her address, Shreya Naik outlined her vision focused on continued community service. She was felicitated by Dr Kirti Naik. Marking the start of her tenure, Shreya donated a wheelchair to a needy woman. The event also honoured SSC toppers from Assagao Union High School, reinforcing the club’s commitment to education and social welfare.
