Pt Yograj Naik Prathisthan, in collaboration with the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Goa, is proud to announce the upcoming musical tribute programme, "Swaryogi 3," dedicated to honouring the legacy of Pt Yograj Naik. The event will take place at the Multipurpose Hall, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto Panaji, Goa on May 14 at 5.30 pm. The Chief Guest for the evening will be Jananrdan Verlekar, President of Gomant Vidya Niketan-Madgaon, accompanied by Guest of Honour, Sagun Velip, Director of the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa. The programme will feature stellar performances by renowned artists: Vivek Sonar (Flute) Sascharisa Harmalkar (Sitar), Kishor Pande (Tabla), Kaustubh Chari (Tabla). A special felicitation and scholarship will be bestowed upon Sascharisa Harmalkar, a talented student of Laxmikant Khadekar, in recognition of her outstanding dedication and upcoming talent to the field of sitar music. Pt Yograj Naik Prathisthan was formed in the year 2022. The primary objective of Pt Yograj Naik Prathisthan is to commemorate the legacy of Pt Yograj Naik, a stalwart in the world of music, and to encourage and support young, budding musicians, particularly sitar players from Goa.
