MARGAO: Navelim Sporting thrashed St Anthony SC, Assolda 5-0 and moved to the final of the 44th St Joseph Festival football tournament, organised by Dramapur SC, at Dramapur ground, on Saturday.
Clinton Niasso of Navelim was the star of the match with his assists and power-packed shots.
Navelim shot into lead through Prestly Gomes in the 25th minute off Clinton Niasso pass. Navelim increased their lead through Clinto Niasso in the 28th minute. Navelim made the issue safe and scored their third goal through Wellington Almeida in the 45th minute. Navelim further inflated the lead through Mark Gomes and Sedroy Costa in the 56th and 69th minutes respectively.
