Prudent Media defeated Navhind Publications by 8 runs to enter the final of the inter-media cricket tournament, organised by The Sports Journalists Association of Goa (SJAG) in collaboration with the Goa Cricket Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Friday.
Prudent Media will now face Times of India in the final on Saturday at GCA ground in Sanguem.
In the second semi-final, Batting first, Prudent Media scored 67 for the loss of 4 wickets in 5 overs. Laxman scored 31 runs while for Navhind Publications, Manish Parba took 2 wickets, Sushant Chimulkar and Nirghosh Gawde took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Navhind managed to score only 48 for the loss of 2 wickets. Sushant Chimulkar added 24 runs while Manish Parab scored 13.
In the quarter-finals, Prudent Media defeated defending champions Goan Varta by 17 runs and Navhind Publications defeated Prime Media Goa by 9 wickets.
