A 23-year-old rape and murder accused wanted by the Bengaluru Police has been nabbed by Crime Branch of Goa Police in Canacona.
Accused Praveena (23) had been absconding and was wanted by Kamakshipalya Police Station, Bengaluru West. The city police believed that the accused had escaped to Goa.
Acting on this suspicion, three teams of the Crime Branch led by PI Filomena Costa, Satish and Anant were formed to track the accused.
Accused was finally tracked down to Canacona where a team of Crime Branch and Canacona PS led by PI Costa laid a trap and apprehended him as he attempted to cross the border.
Arrested accused has been handed over to the Bengaluru Police for further investigation.
