The Bar Council of India Trust-PEARL FIRST will inaugurate the India International University of Legal Education and Research in Goa on June 9.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will inaugurate the new building of the University, which is situated at Upasnagar, Sancoale, beside Laxmi Bhawan, Airport Road. Justice B R Gavai and Justice Surya Kant, Judges of the Supreme Court of India, who are the Member-Trustees of the Bar Council of India Trust will be the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour.
Besides them, Justice M M Sundresh, Judge, Supreme Court of India will also grace the occasion. Justice M S Sonak, the Administrative Judge, Goa Bench of Bombay High Court and the Advocate General Goa will also be there to grace the occasion and address the gathering.
The India International University of Legal Education and Research will be one of its kind in the world. The international University is having a statutory constituent, the Visitor of the University is the Chief Justice of India, and another two Judges of the Supreme Court of India will be the Member-Trustees.
The Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court and Senior most Judge of Goa Bench along with the Advocate General of Goa will be the Members of the Executive Council of the University.
The Mission of the Bar Council of India Trust behind the project of this International University is of making accomplished Advocates and Judges. Dual degree programmes, world-class faculties, and collaboration with top Universities of the World as well as with the International Bar Associations and Universities would be the special features.
The syllabus will cover all the latest and modern concepts of laws enabling the products to shine throughout the globe.
The University will change the dimensions of Legal Education throughout the World.
With a view to understand, publish and highlight the entire concept of this new venture of the International University at Goa, all the respected press persons from print and electronic media are requested to attend the press conference on June 8 at 12.15 pm at Taj Vivanta, DB Bandodkar Road, St Inez Junction, Panaji.
