The Fatorda police has registered a FIR against unknown accused person for cheating a resident of Fatorda and native of Maharashtra Rohit Jamdar.

In his complaint, Jamdar stated that 31/03/2026, unknown person contacted him through phone call and induced him to avail a personal loan from IDFC/HDFC Bank.

That’s not all. Further under the false pretext of processing charges, file clearance charges, and other formalities towards loan, the accused person dishonestly induced him to transfer money through GPay and PhonePe to various UPI IDs / QR Codes.

In this manner, the complainant transferred a total amount of Rs. 2,00,716/- in multiple transactions. However, neither the loan was sanctioned nor the transferred amount was refunded to the complainant and also the accused person stopped responding to the complainant's calls and messages thus cheating the complainant.

A case under section 318(4) BNS, 2023 stands registered against the unknown accused person.
