Former Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida, who had quit BJP over denial of assembly election ticket, today rejoined the saffron fold.
Almeida's decision comes after two long years in Congress, the party he had joined in December 2021 and had contested on their symbol 2022 Assembly election.
On Monday, Almeida resigned from the Congress to return to the BJP, a decision that comes ahead of LS polls.
Tanavade expressed confidence in Almeida's ability to bolster the party's prospects in Mormugao taluka and ensure victory for the BJP South Goa candidate Pallavi Dempo in the impending Lok Sabha Elections.
