PANAJI
Sambhaji Bhide, a Hindutva activist from Maharashtra, has stated that Hindu society needs to raise its voice against oppression.
Bhide, who heads his organisation, the Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan, to spread the teachings of Shivaji Maharaj and his son Sambhaji, was addressing a public meeting organised by Akhil Gomantakiya Hindu Dharm Sabha at the Shri Swami Samarthgadh in Davorlim.
He appealed to the Hindu community to raise their voice against atrocities. “Hindustan has witnessed several invasions and Hindus have always been victims of atrocities. The concept of Hindavi Swarajya emerged to protect the Hindu states and Hindu culture. Chatrapati Shivaji had seen the dream of Hindavi Swarajya and fought to establish Hindavi Swarajya for over 35 years. He fought 289 battles. Horrendous crimes were committed against the Hindu community, but the Hindus kept quiet and stuck to their ‘Sarva Dharma Sama Bhava’ (Treat all religions as equal) philosophy. They are still silent,” said Bhide.
