ARZ has asked for protection schemes for children of women in commercial sex work, including scholarships, hostels, and vocational pathways and a simultaneous strengthening of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) with dedicated staff, vehicles, technology, and victim-sensitive training.
The NGO has also sought a 'Victim-Witness Support Fund' to cover travel, accommodation, and subsistence for survivors deposing in the criminal courts in Goa.
Other demands include enhancement of the Prabhat Scheme stipend from Rs 2,500 to Rs 10,000 per month for a year, until victims secure livelihood, a monthly pension of Rs 5,000 for victims above 45 years who are unable to earn due to stigma and exploitation, creation of a livelihood ecosystem with survivor-led business units, subsidies, GST exemptions, and procurement preference for goods produced by victims.
