Omkar Nayak Shinkre, son of MES College lecturer Devakinandan Nayak Shinkre and student of Goa College of Engineering, has cleared Gate 2022 with an all-India rank of 479.
Shinkre, a resident of Khorlim-Mapusa, has secured a seat in the prestigious Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) Bengaluru and will now pursue his master's from the Department of Instrumentation and Applied Physics for the next 3 years.
Shinkre had also received offers from other prestigious colleges including IIT's but chose to pursue his studies at IISc.
