Clash broke out between two groups at the KTC bus stand area in Margao after a 17-year-old boy was allegedly attacked during the early hours of Friday around 4.30 am.
According to police, some persons allegedly linked to the earlier Mungul gang war incident were involved in the incident. Fatorda Police Station has registered a gang assault case.
A complainant was filed by Shadaf Mulla (19), a resident of Gogol Housing Board, Margao and brother of the victim.
Police said the accused allegedly formed an unlawful assembly and assaulted the complainant’s minor brother by slapping and punching him, causing simple injuries. The group also allegedly threatened the victim with dire consequences over previous enmity.
The accused have been identified as Prakash Velma of Nessai, Shlok Shinde (22), Maifuz Sayyad (21), Sunil Bilwar (20), and Akshay Talwar. "Four have been arrested with one absconding," said Police.
Police have registered Crime No. 30/2026 under Sections 191(2), 115(2), and 118(1) read with Section 190 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act, 2003. Further investigation is underway.
