NEET results: Mrinal, Tanmay, Karthika get full marks

Result of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021, the national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses, has been announced. Just like last year, this year too, the top rank holder has obtained full marks. In fact, the top three rank holders have obtained 720 out of 720 marks. Mrinal Kutteri from Hyderabad has got All India Rank 1 followed by Tanmay Gupta from Delhi at rank 2, and Karthika G Nair from Mumbai at AIR 3. Karthika is also topper among females.

The NEET 2021 registrations were highest in the last three years. In NEET 2021, the highest number of students registered in the past three years with as many as 16,14,777 students applying for the exam. Of these, 15,44,275 students took the medical entrance exam. NTA has withheld results of 15 students for using unfair practices in exams. This year, several cases of impersonation and even exam leak surfaced in the exam. NEET cut-off at 720-138 Marks

Those who obtain 50 percentile marks in NEET 2021 will be eligible to seek admission in medical colleges on the basis of merit. This year, the cut-off has slightly slipped down. Last year those who obtained marks in the range of 147 to 720 marks made a place in the 50th percentile. This year the score was in the range of 138 to 720. As many as 77-857 students have made it to the 50th percentile. Those belonging to the reserved category need 40th percentile and 45th percentile score to pass depending on category.
