Gram sabha members of the Paroda village panchayat on Sunday demanded to know how come the mutation applications of outsiders is processed at lightning speed while locals have to wait for weeks and months.
At the Sunday gram sabha chaired by Sarpanch Rajeshree Gaonkar, members demanded an inquiry into the mutation process, to ascertain how the Sharmas and Vermas get their mutations without any difficulty,
The members said the Panchayat should write a letter to Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao, who is the Leader of the Opposition, to take up the issue in the Goa Legislative Assembly.
The members also requested the panchayat to write to the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Revenue Minister and the district Collector and Mamlatdar to order a probe into the mutations.
