Prudent Media Network on Wednesday organised the screening of the preview of the documentary on Shri Siddharoodha Swamiji, the selfless saint from the 19th century from North Karnataka region.
Hubballi MLA Mahesh Tenginkai was the chief guest of the function that was organised at the auditorium of Denisons Hotel here. Noted dignitaries, officials and entrepreneurs from the Hubballi Dharwad region were present.
In his welcome address, Director of Prudent Media Network Joe Louis said that he dreamt about the Swamiji after which the documentary was conceptualised.
“The production of the documentary was a collective decision of the Shri Siddharoodha Swamiji Mutt and Prudent Media Network and it will be released in August at a public function in Goa,” Louis said.
Appreciating the effort of Prudent Media Network, Hubballi MLA Tenginkai said the saint has a large number of followers and Mutts in Goa too.
“The 188-year-old story has been beautifully presented in the documentary. If one spends even 10 minutes in meditation in the Mutt, he will realise the power of blessings of the great Swamiji,” said MLA Tenginkai, while giving some suggestions.
He also extended his support and presence for the programme for the release of the documentary in Goa.
Speaking on the occasion, CCM South Western Railways Dr Anoop Dayanand appreciated the initiative and also suggested incorporating the Hubballi Railway Station, which is named after the great Swamiji. “The station also has a world record of having the longest platform in the world,” Dr Dayanand said.
Added noted entrepreneur Channu Hosmani of the famous Panchamruth Industries from Hubballi: “Prudent Media Network came all the way from Goa and gave an amazing presentation. We are moved by the initiative by Prudent Media Network which will go a long way in bonding the people of North Karnataka and Goa and across the globe.”
VSV Prasad said the documentary will be a torch bearer for the entire humanity which is divided by casteism. “Swamiji's teachings would enlighten the nation,” Prasad said.
C S Kulkarni, Dr Patty, Louis Rodrigues and others also spoke on the occasion. Noted personalities from across the region were present.
