Class X students across 11 schools in Mapusa will now step into smarter classrooms, thanks to the installation of 25 interactive panels under the Rotary Club of Mapusa Elegance’s first Global Grant Project.

The Rs 73-lakh project aims to make lessons more engaging and accessible.

With the new smart panels, teachers can use videos, animations and interactive tools to explain concepts, conduct instant quizzes and track student performance in real time.

Students are expected to benefit from a more visual and participatory learning experience, making difficult subjects easier to grasp.

“This will make science and maths much easier to understand,” said a Std X student of Dnyanprasarak Vidyalaya.

A teacher added, “We can now make lessons more interactive instead of depending only on textbooks. It will definitely help children learn faster.”

Social worker and architect Rahul Mhambrey, who attended the inauguration, said technology in classrooms is as important as modern training tools in sports.

“Students need smart tools to sharpen their skills and confidence. This initiative will help them compete on a global stage,” he remarked.

At the event, DGE Dr Lenny Da Costa described the initiative as a major step towards preparing children for the digital future.

International partner Rtn David Clemens (USA) praised the project and assured continued support.

Project lead Raaj Khalap said the panels would help bridge the gap between traditional teaching and global standards of education, giving local students the tools they need to succeed.
