The vexed Mhadei river sharing dispute is expected to be taken up by the Supreme Court of India on November 29.
The Apex Court has listed Goa government's special leave petition challenging the Mhadei award for Wednesday after it was adjourned on at least two occasions in the past.
All three States party to the Mhadei dispute -- Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra -- have challenged the award of the Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal.
The bone of contention is mainly between Goa and Karnataka over the latter being granted a share of the coveted river's waters.
Goa Forward Party Chief Vijai Sardesai has called for convening the House Committee on Mhadei on Monday to discuss the issue facing Goa and Goemkars.
Sardesai urged the Chairperson, the Water Resources Minister Subhash Shirodkar to take the lead, saying “as I have always maintained, this is a matter of life and death”.
