MARGAO
Managing Director of Sewerage and Infrastructural Development Corporation of Goa Ltd (SIDCGL) N Parsekar has told The Goan that his office will look into the perennial issue of overflowing sewage chambers in the commercial capital during the monsoon.
He, however, could not state whether the overflowing sewage chambers was a result of a the faulty underground line or simply that the chambers are overflowing for want of maintenance.
When questioned how come the rain water could enter the underground sewage line and it is the result of a faulty line, Parsekar only said he would ask the PWD officials to take cognizance of the ground reality.
PWD officials in private, however, demanded to know whether the underground line was tested and checked by the SIDCGL before handing over the same to the PWD for maintenance.
