The car which knocked down a scooterist before ramming into a pole.

In a tragic accident, a 42-year-old woman scooterist died after being knocked down by a car at the Dandeavaddo road junction at Chinchinim village on Saturday morning.
Scooterist Albina Fernandes, a resident of Dando, Bardez but presently staying at Varca, was riding an Access scooter when she was knocked down by a Karnataka-registered Innova car at the junction. The car later rammed into an electric pole on the right-hand side of the NH66.
Cuncolim police informed that the rider sustained injuries and died on the way to the South Goa district hospital. The unknown car driver is believed to have fled away after the accident, leaving the vehicle behind.
A case under section 279, 304-A IPC and Sec 134 (a)(b) of the MV Act has been registered against the accused car driver.
