Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds travelling up to 30 to 40 kilometres per hour are expected at isolated places on Sunday and Monday and similarly light to moderate rain/thundershowers are expected at isolated places on Tuesday and Wednesday.
However, there won’t be any respite from the heat, as the Met department has predicted no large change in maximum temperature for the next four to five days.
While IMD has issued a warning of thunderstorms with winds gusting on June 4 and 5, it has predicted light rain/thundershowers for the following two days on June 6 and 7.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into high seas during this period.
The maximum temperature reported in Panaji was 35.4 degree Centrigade while the minimum temperature recorded was 26.5 degree Centrigade.
