When Amitabh Bachchan announced that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were expecting a visit from the stork back in 2011, Aishwarya's ever move was documented. From the size of her baby bump to her monthly/weekly visits to her ob/gyn, the former beauty queen was the centre of attention. Until Baby Bachchan arrived.
Aishwarya, however, was the one who started it all – and the country's obsession with Bollywood's parents-to-be and their newborns has only grown in leaps and bounds since then.
As wishes started pouring in on social media, the parents shared a picture where they revealed the name of their baby boy, Rahyl.
In December 2015, Uday Chopra and Karan Johar revealed that they had become uncles to a beautiful baby girl, Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra's daughter Adira. This new addition to the Chopra khandaan caused much excitement so much so that a fake account was created on Instagram with photos of a baby girl claiming to be Adira. However, Rani's spokesperson later cleared all doubts and issued a statement saying that the baby girl in the pictures was not Adira.
While fans and the paparazzi had their eyes on Rani and Mira during their pregnancy, actor Tusshar Kapoor surprised everyone when he made an announcement that he has become daddy to a baby boy through surrogacy. The newest single dad took the internet by storm when the first pictures of him cradling Laksshya went viral.
Bollywood's cutest couple welcomed their second son in June this year with a twitter post by one-and-a-half-year-old Riaan. "Hey guys, my Aai & Baba just gifted me a little brother. Now all my toys are his...- Love Riaan."
The latest to join the bandwagon is none other than Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput. Their baby daughter Misha, who was born about a month ago has already become a star. The newborn has caught the fancy of Shahid-Mira's fans and the paparazzi. If many are waiting to catch a glimpse of the one-month-old, others have been waiting with bated breath to know the name of this new star kid on the block.
But the wait is finally over as Mira and Shahid revealed the name of their newborn just a couple of days ago – Misha , a combination of their first names taking a cue from Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra who names their baby daughter Adira (Aditya-Rani).
