Extremely satisfied with the 4-0 win over FC Goa, head coach of Chennaiyn FC, Marco Materazzi praised the attitude of his team on-field. "I am extremely satisfied with the performance the team showcased tonight. The players had worked hard in the training and they deserved this win," he said in a post-match conference.

“This win has also given us the confidence and indicated that we can play and produce a result against an opposition which is well versed in the game,” Materazzi added.

“It is satisfying and pleasing to see the players showcase their leadership quality on the pitch. Our defenders worked hard during the match and had a brilliant game tonight," Materazi quipped adding: "I am proud of my boys. They showed commitment and combined well before relaxing once they were assured of a big win. Unlike the two previous matches, the team lacked in coordination between the midfielders, strikers and defense today. They clicked as a cohesive unit," the Italain added.

Chennaiyn FC could not have asked for a better way to celebrate Amitabh Bachchan's brithday who is father of co-owner Abhishek Bachchan. On the other hand, FC Goa head coach Zico said we had a bad day at the office. "We played well against Delhi Dynamos and Atletico de Kolkata but some how the palyers did not click today. They collapsed today. We will forget this loss in a hurry as we have bigger challenges,"a dejected Zico said, adding: “We lost the match because we gave Chennaiyn FC too much space in the opening minutes of the first half and that is when they punished us.” “We were the better team in the opening session but our players failed to convert the chances. However in football goals win you games it is as simple as that,” Zico added .
