Cunchelim locals along with members of the Cunchelim Cricket Ground Bachav Samiti (CCGBS) vowed not to allow development of plots on the cricket ground and soon meet the Governor and the Chief Minister in that connection.
Local councillor Chandrashekar Benkar also said that the cricket ground should be retained and the development of plots must stop.
CCGBS submitted a memorandum to the deputy collector against the “illegal” development of the space which was used as a cricket ground in Cunchelim.
