The Annotsav 2025, a food festival organised by the Rotary Club of Belgaum, has been attracting a large number of Goans in Belagavi.

Apart from the Kolhapuri, Malvani, and North Karnataka specialities, Goan food stalls too are tantalising the taste buds of the people of Belagavi and the North Karnataka region who are visiting this festival at the sprawling Angadi Grounds on the Savgaon Road here. About 150 stalls are serving gourmet delicacies.

The festival will be held until January 14 and offers an excellent opportunity for food enthusiasts.

“Foodies are relishing the variety of veg and non-veg delicacies offered by stalls from across the region. Certainly, the festival is offering a delightful experience with Indian and international cuisine, while daily cultural programmes are attracting youngsters and citizens of all ages,” Suhas Chandak, President, Rotary Club of Belgaum, said.

“A large number of Goans are also visiting the festival,” Chandak added.

While relishing the famous Belgaum Biryani by Hotel Niyaz and others, Goan food stalls too are stealing the show. “Chicken Cafreal with Goan Pao and Chonak Rava Fry are attracting people in a big way,” Raj Deg of Spice De Goa said.

For vegetarians, the tasty Kolhapuri Thaleepet and the Fadtare Misal from Kolhapur too are pulling crowds.

Apart from these, a variety of fish dishes, including fish fry and fish curry, are being served by some stalls from Konkan, Goa, and Belagavi.

“We have a large number of Goans visiting the festival. Apart from food, beverages and ice creams, we have also organised entertainment and a variety of competitions that are being held on a huge stage with attractive lighting,” Milind Patankar, a member of the organising committee, said.

“We are anticipating over one lakh visitors this year,” said Patankar.
