Goa from up in the skies is just as stunning as you see it as you zip by in a car, bike or are simply strolling around. Helicopter rides, a new innovation by Goa Tourism provides a spectacular view of Goa from the comforts of a helicopter.
The new offering for tourists has so far attracted a lot of attention as well as interest from the holidayers. The ride in the Bell-206 helicopter operated by Pawan Hans and Goa Tourism Development Corporation gives you a birds-eye perspective which you may have missed out on earlier, as you take in the marvelous sights of Goa from a height of around 1000 feet.
The bird takes you on an aerial sortie hovering above Goa's beaches, its forests, its churches and temples as well as sites of historical interest.
For now, the helicopter ride starts from the helipad at the Park Hyatt Resort at Cansaulim and takes you over beaches like Arossim, Majorda, Betalbatim, Colva, Benaulim and Varca.
For those who are a bit worried and have a doubt or two about hopping onto a chopper, worry not. The organisers of this unique tour have put together a thorough protocol which includes a thorough safety briefing which tells you about the dos and the donts on the ride.
