The general assembly election in Maharashtra will have some impact in Goa as the liquor outlets located on the borders will remain shut on November 18 till the voting day on November 20, and the counting day on November 23.
The Department of Finance (Revenue and Control) issued a notification directing all licenced premises “for the sale of liquor” bordering Maharashtra within a 5km radius to be closed from 5 pm on November 18 to 6 pm on November 20 and on November 23.
