The The ‘Jagrut Devasthan’ and Mapsekar’s ‘Rakhandev’ (protector deity) Shree Bodgeshwar will be offered a stick of gold worth Rs 51 lakh during the January 2023 Jatrotsava, stated the Devasthan Samiti that has decided to fulfil this ‘sankalp’ taken by the devotees of Shree Bodgeshwar.
The decision of replacing the stick in the deity’s hand with a golden one, was taken unanimously in the November 23 meeting of the executive committee, and a separate committee ‘Bhangara Dando Samiti’ has been formed to carry on the responsibility.
The samiti consists of industrialist Gurudatta Bhakta, Adv Vaman Pandit, Ashish Kamble and Devasthan Chairman Anand Bhaidkar.
