The All India Board Sailing Championship and the Goa State Board Sailing Championship, organised by the Goa Yachting Association (GYA) and Board Sailing Association of India (BSAI), will start from Wednesday, May 17, at Dolphin Adventure Sports Centre, Hawaii Beach, Dona Paula. It will conclude on Sunday, May 21.

The State Championship will be held in the RS:X, RS:One and Raceboard classes, with Sub Junior, Junior, Youth and Open age categories. The All-India championship will have RS:X and Raceboard classes. In both championships, racing will be held from May 18 to 21, with three races being conducted each day, in morning and afternoon sessions.
Sponsored by Volvo Penta, the championship is a ranking event; positions gained here will count towards selection to represent the country in international championships in 2017 and 2018. The hospitality partner is O Pescador, Dona Paula. A large number of windsurfers from the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and civilian clubs are expected to participate, from Mumbai, Pune, Bhopal, Bengaluru and Orissa.
