The meeting also saw a member of the Navelim bio-diversity management panel Eleuterio Carneiro tendering his resignation panel due to a lack of penal provision in the Bio-diversity Act to punish those destroying bio-diversity.
At the meeting chaired by sarpanch Paul Pereira, the issue of debris dumped in the paddy fields came up for discussion after farmers pointed out that they cannot cultivate their fields because of the debris.
