To begin regular service next week

A new bi-weekly train connecting Goa with Mumbai’s western suburbs was inaugurated on Wednesday by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The train will begin regular operations next week. Its maiden journey from Margao Railway Station is scheduled for June 3 (Tuesday), departing at 7.40 am and reaching Bandra Terminus at 11.40 pm.
Goyal said the service fulfils a long-standing demand for direct rail connectivity between Bandra, Borivali and the Konkan region. The Bandra–Margao Express (Train No. 10115) will leave Bandra every Wednesday and Friday at 6.50 am and arrive in Margao at 10 pm on the same day.
The Margao–Bandra Express (Train No. 10116) will depart Margao every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.40 am and reach Bandra at 11.40 pm. The train will stop at Borivali, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Roha, Veer, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali in both directions.
