Officials, leaders inspect venue for Home Minister’s meet in Mapusa

Officials and leaders on Thursday inspected arrangements the new Kadamba bus stand, ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah’s public meeting in Mapusa on Friday at 6 pm.

The district administration, police, BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade and former MLA Sidharth Kuncalienker jointly inspected the venue.

After inspecting the venue, Kuncalienker said they expect around 20-25,000 people to attend the meeting.

According to details, Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Goa after completing his Maharashtra tour.

After landing at Mopa airport, Shah’s convoy will reach the meeting place in Mapusa. He is expected to address the meeting by 7 pm.

As part of added security, 500 police in uniform and 200 police in plainclothes will be present at the venue. An additional 200 policemen will be deployed on the route from Mopa Airport to the venue. Besides, CRPF jawans will also be present.

A public meeting of the Home Minister had been earlier scheduled in Mapusa on March 24, but it was postponed and this meeting will now be held on Friday.
